Monte Carlo simulation of a scintillation crystal read by a SiPM with GATE

Silicon photomultipliers (SiPMs) have recently emerged as a replacement for photomultiplier tubes (PMTs) light detection in many applications, including high-energy physics and medical imaging. Recently, detailed Monte Carlo simulation of SiPMs has been implemented GATE to quantify the impact SiPM specifications on linearity, energy time resolution scintillation crystal read by SiPM. In this paper, simulations LYSO coupled are compared measurements. The spectra 241Am 22Na radioactive sources found agree with less than 2% difference. linearity response is duly affected saturation and, seen above 511 keV our configuration, it slightly enhanced generation crosstalk.
